The Best of the Portals of Prayer

Read: Acts 10:34-43 / Psalm 119:105-112

“This is the message we have heard from Him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.”
1st John 1:5

April Fools?

Have you ever done something “foolish?” We all have! But to act foolishly at one time or another does not automatically make someone a fool. That would imply that you cannot help yourself. In fact, “acting foolishly” may not always be in us at all, but in the eye of the beholder. St. Paul said that “the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to those who are being but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” [1st Corinthians 1:18]. Imagine being labeled foolish by the world because you walk in what they consider the “dark ages” of a God they cannot see.
But you do see! You see God with the faith he has given you. You see the death and resurrection of His Son for the sins of the world. You see the love of Christ even for those who walk in darkness, and you also begin to love them. In the “foolishness” of faith, we are made wise in the wisdom, grace, and love of God.
