“Nothing Apart from God”
“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”
[Colossians 2:6-7]
Christ the Lord says of Himself: “no man has ascended into heaven but He who descended from heaven, the Son of Man who is in heaven”. We must learn this article of faith well, and retain it, for very much depends on our knowing the Savior aright and clinging to Him in steadfast faith. Whoever passes that article of faith by, passes God by; but whoever discovers it, discovers God. Everything is concentrated in the Son, and anything outside the Son is in vain. Therefore this proclamation is in vain. It is ordained that we should not seek nothing apart from the Son, and that we should find nothing apart from Him either in heaven or on earth. Without Him all is lost. As long as we live on earth, therefore, we should admonish pious and God-fearing hearts to learn and to practice this article of faith in a most diligent manner.
