“Cling to Christ”

“Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life,…”
[John 6:68]

The Christian emulates the example set here by St. Peter and says: “to whom shall we go?” Lord, I know none but Thee. I know of no other message; You have the words of life. Your sermon has the proper ring; it is impressive and vigorous; its bones are full of marrow; it delivers from eternal death, from sin, and from all misery. Where eternal life and salvation are concerned, St. Peter and all godly men dismiss all other teachings, and know nothing but Christ. Those words will satisfy your hungry soul. This is such a beautiful thing. This gives the joy of eternal life.
