“Sure Comfort”
“You have come to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.”
[Hebrews 12:24]
We have the forgiveness of sins only for the sake of the Mediator and the mercy seat, Christ, through the redemption in His blood, and are pronounced righteous before God [Romans 3:24-25]. He clearly and plainly uses the word “gratis”[grace] without our merit, and not for the sake of our works – so that we can have sure comfort, and need not doubt grace and salvation, even though we are very unworthy and still have sins remaining. Knowing that, we can have a good day.
