“The Gospel Truth”
“For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.
[Hebrews 4:2]
When I hear that Jesus Christ died, took away the guilt of my sin, gained heaven for me, and gave me all that He has, I am then, hearing the pure Gospel. The Word is then heard when it enters the heart; and Christ promises through the Apostle Paul it will not slip away. No creature can invalidate it’s truth. The depths of hell can do nothing against it; and even if I am already in the jaws of the devil, I must come out and remain where the Word remains, for Christ holds it in me, and for me. That truth makes a good day, even if hunger tries to be your master, illness your partner, and the devil your constant tempter.
