The Best of the Portals of Prayer

Help with Your Burdens
Despite the scores of people we may encounter each day during our hectic lives, many of us remain lonely. Research shows that, more than anything else, people today long for a meaningful relationship. People are searching for more than superficial friendships. As the line from the theme song on the TV show “Cheers” said; people want to go “where everybody knows your name”. People want to be able to express themselves and be accepted.
The Lord did not create us to be alone. We need God, and we need one another. We Christians are called to support and build up one another in the faith. As God loves us, so we ought to love one another.
We are called to mutually strengthen those whom God has placed into our lives. We strive to practice patience with others, knowing the Lord is not finished with them, OR US. Because Jesus gave His life for us, we are able to give support, strength, and friendship to people in need. Whether it be at home, at work, or in Church, the love of Christ leads us to carry one another’s burdens.
O Lord, as You have loved me, for Jesus’ sake, so help me to love others. Amen.
