“You Can Trust God”
“ Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
[Matthew 6:26]
Christ says: “every day you see before your very eyes how the heavenly Father feeds the little birds in the fields, without any concern on their part.” Should we not trust Him to feed us as well, since He is our Father and He calls us His children? Shall He not be concerned about you, whom He has made His children and to whom He gives His Word? The Lord feeds His little creatures everyday, as if they were His only concern. He enjoys it when they fly around without a care in the world, as if they were singing; “I song and frolic, and yet I do not know of a single grain I will eat. My bread is not baked, and my grain is not yet planted. But I have a Master who takes care of it for me.” Now, since the birds have learned this art of trusting Him, and of casting their cares upon God, we who are children of God should do so even more.
