“Do Not Despair”
“We appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain.”
[2nd Corinthians 6:1]
It also is a wonderful source of great comfort to us to see that even the greatest and best people among us sin grievously against God and His commandments, and that we are not the only poor, miserable sinners in this world. We observe, that they, also, were completely human, as are we, that they had flesh and blood as we do, and now we, too, must not despair, even though we fall into sin. If only we do not defect from the kingdom of God’s Grace through false doctrine and silly superstitions … I remain in the kingdom of God’s grace when I do not despair of God’s rich mercy. May God bless me with His presence all my days.
